The game is available on PC (Steam & Humble Bundle), VR (Steam and Oculus Home) and Xbox One. Subnautica hit Steam on Decemas part of the Early Access program and was fully released on January 23, 2018. ![]() ![]() Subnautica is a first-person video game set in the future on an aquatic uncharted planet created and released by Unknown Worlds Entertainment, that blends the traits of the survival and the exploration genres. Craft equipment and submarines to explore lush coral reefs, volcanoes, cave systems, and more – All while trying to survive. Have more of that and fix the floating pictures not sticking to walls as well.Descend into the depths of an alien underwater world filled with resources, creatures, wonder and threats. You need to expand the base building, that was a big part of Subnautica's success, i especially liked the partioned walls for rooms that were added in Below Zero. Last thing i want is for Subnautica 3(2) to have multiplayer so some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ will start talking to me and ruining my immersion. there was tension in the waters, you start the game in the middle of the huge map in the shallows and all around you were depths, you hear all kinds of terrifying roars, the sence of isolation cause your character DOESNT SPEAK. Subnautica 1 was a borderline HORROR game, not just an exploration one. ![]() Below Zero was a mess, developers obviously didnt get why the original Subnautica was so well recieved. Originally posted by dragonbornzyra:Well, the comments sound more like what people wish or hope to be in the next Subnautica game, but as the OP is asking for what our expectations are. If they are making a turn based strategy game based in the Subnautica world, my only hope for this would be if we play from the Precursors perspective and everything we have to do is some complex puzzle that has to be solved. Even if I had enough interest left in me to give feedback, it'll be ignored or disregarded, or my criticism would be twisted back around and used against me somehow. So the third Subnautica game? Yeah whatever. Instead of Below Zero giving me more of what I wanted, more of what was in Subnautica, it gave me less of what I wanted. My expectations that UWE will do anything other than what they want, are strong and powerful and what I should have led with. My expectations towards UWE being able to produce another Subnautica game that I might enjoy are nill. My expectations towards UWE being able to work with and manage their community have all been dropped. I don't think it's right or appropriate to be using the Early Access system of early buy in from customers with the notion they would have constructive contributing impacts towards the final game, if you never had any intentions of listening to player feedback to begin with. They had all the funding they needed, and on top of that the avalanche of Early Access buyers that got the game the day it came out on good faith further funding the project. So, if they had this vision of theirs all along, then why release Below Zero in Early Access? They didn't need the money, because their pockets were weighted down from the success of Subnautica. ![]() They said they have seen and acknowledged feedback and critique, and that this is the way they are moving forward. It's their idea, they're trying it out, Obraxsis said if it works it works if it doesn't work it doesn't. This is because despite Below Zero being placed in Early Access, more than one UWE devs at more than one point has said on these very same forums, that what they are doing is what they wanted to do. I have no interest or anticipation, and my expectations are very low. Well, the comments sound more like what people wish or hope to be in the next Subnautica game, but as the OP is asking for what our expectations are.
